Who we are
Line MeIn is a salon queue service run from Thane, India. You can write to us at support@linemein.com about anything on this page.
What we collect
- Your full name, mobile number and (optionally) email address.
- The services you pick, the stylist you prefer, and the name and gender of anyone you check in along with you.
- Your check-in history, ratings, reviews and the salons you mark as favourites.
- Your approximate location, only when you tap “Use my location”.
- Basic technical information such as your language choice and errors the app runs into, so we can fix problems.
Why we collect it
To hold your place in the salon queue, tell you when to reach, send your check-in confirmation, show the salon who is waiting, and let you see your past visits. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who can see it
The salon you check in to can see your name, mobile number, chosen services and the people in your group. Reviews are shown publicly with your first name only. Our own team can see the same details for support and billing. We share nothing else with anyone, except where the law requires it.
Services that help us run the app
We use trusted providers to send emails and one-time codes, to store your data securely, to show maps from OpenStreetMap, and to collect salon subscription payments through Razorpay. Card and UPI details are handled by the payment provider — we never see or store them.
Verification messages
We send a one-time code by SMS or email to confirm it is really you. Those codes are stored only as hashes and expire quickly.
How long we keep it
Check-in details are kept for 12 months. After that we remove your name link, mobile number, email address and the details of anyone you booked with, and visits without a rating or review are deleted entirely. Ratings and reviews are kept so salon ratings stay accurate. Invoices and payment records for salons are kept as long as Indian tax rules require.
Your rights
You can download a copy of everything we store, correct your details, or delete your account and personal data at any time from your profile page. Deleting your account removes your name, contact details and reviews.
Children
Line MeIn is meant for adults. A parent or guardian should check in on behalf of a child.
